One resident was able to capture a picture of the contrail showing evidence of a rapid change in the flight path of the plane leaving it behind. Weather observers confirmed that wind appeared to play no factor in shaping the contrail. Previous reports of UFO sightings in the area have left some wondering if the plane was taking evasive action to avoid colliding with an unknown craft. A photo of one suspected UFO was taken just north of the contrail site last week. Nats, the air traffic control company responsible for the skies in the area, could not explain why the plane changed direction and is refusing to release any information to the public.
